Suki's Kimono by Chieri Uegaki
Suki's Kimono by Chieri Uegaki
Time quietly came to the last day of May, Let's read one of my favorite books of the month today!
I don’t know if you have the experience of having a favorite thing but being ashamed to share it with others because it is not mainstream? Because of the "different" relationship, we will become very timid when making many decisions. This difference may be a special Chinese-style lunch box, wearing a special traditional costume, liking cartoons that everyone thinks is "childish", listening to niche music, or making an unconventional decision. While embracing these differences, we have to bear the pressure of the outside world and challenge our inner firmness in these decisions.
In this book, Suki insists on wearing the kimono given to her by her grandma on the first day of school, even though she is still unmoved by the ridicule of her classmates, she is still proud of her kimono. Let's learn the spirit of Suki together!
